Trichinella IgG

The T. spiralis excretory/secretory antigens (E/S), after separation by electrophoresis, are electroblotted to the surface of a nitrocellulose membrane (called a transfer), which is cut into 24 numbered bands from 1 to 24. Carrying out the test: Each serum sample to be tested is incubated separately with a strip. The anti-Trichinella antibodies potentially present in the sample selectively bind to T. spiralis E/S antigens. The alkaline phosphatase anti-human IgG conjugate then binds to the bound anti-Trichinella antibodies. Finally, the immune complexes react with the substrate. The IgG antigens present in the samples are shown as violet transversal bands.
