Information "Leishmania IgG"

The antigens (promastigote form of Leishmania infantum), after separation by electrophoresis, are electroblotted to the surface of a nitrocellulose membrane (called transfer), which is cut into 24 numbered from 1 to 24 numbered strips. Carrying out the test: Each serum sample to be tested is incubated separately with a strip. The anti-Leishmania antibodies potentially present in the sample selectively bind to the antigens of L. infantum. The alkaline phosphatase anti-human IgG conjugate then binds to the bound anti-Leishmania antibodies. Finally, the immune complexes react with the substrate. The IgG antigens present in the samples are shown as violet transversal bands.
