Fasciola IgG

The excretory/secretory (E/S) antigens of Fasciola hepatica (Large liver fluke) are used after separation by electrophoresis Electroblotting bound to the surface of a nitrocellulose membrane (Transfer called), which is cut into 24 from 1 to 24 numbered strips.
Carrying out the test: Each serum sample to be tested is incubated separately with a strip. The anti-Fasciola antibodies potentially present in the sample bind selectively to the antigens of F. hepatica. The alkaline phosphatase anti-human IgG conjugate then binds to the bound anti-Fasciola antibodies. Finally, the immune complexes react with the substrate. The IgG antigens present in the samples are shown as violet transversal bands.
